2006
Maurice Vossen and Lex Blanker win the "High Potentials" program from Maastricht University and receive the Minckelers Award. They have created the best business plan, but the real challenge is to market it themselves. Maurice and Lex decide to take on the challenge.

2007
VSI is registered with the Chamber of Commerce as a VOF. Work begins for VSI alongside their permanent jobs. Their first product, Floormark, is launched with the help of Rhonda Kovera from The Visual-Factory in the United States. She supports VSI financially, for which they are still very grateful. Without her, it would not have been possible.

2008
Orgatex is recognized as a brand and found to have no representation in the Benelux. VSI sees opportunities. After a visit to the Lean-Factory in November, Joachim Gerlach grants VSI the distributorship for the Benelux.
In October 2008, VSI becomes a private limited company (B.V.) due to its increasing growth.

2009
VSI B.V. starts with the distributorship of Orgatex. Due to the increasing workload, Lex Blanker decides to work full-time for VSI B.V. VSI B.V. makes its first appearance at the Logistica in Utrecht in November. The strong growth continues.

2010
Maurice Vossen resigns and also works full-time for VSI B.V. VSI B.V. continues to grow.

2011
VSI B.V. further expands its portfolio and grows steadily.

2012
Growth continues and new staff must be hired. At Logistica 2012, the first staff member joins for trial work. Claudia Nelissen is hired and adds valuable new expertise.

2013
Due to continued growth, space becomes an issue. In September, the building on Minckelersstraat (a nice coincidence) in Landgraaf is purchased, allowing for further expansion.

2014
This year, the focus was on directly shipping products from the new in-house warehouse.

2015
Implementation of a new ERP system.

2016
Since VSI already possesses graphic expertise, it was decided to handle the documentation entirely in-house. A professional digital printing press was purchased to produce everything internally. As a result, the release of the VSI product catalog was given top priority.
